This ain’t your average foot race; it’s a full-blown adventure through the stunning parks and greenbelts of the Lone Star State. Whether you’re a seasoned rodeo pro or just looking to kick up some dust, we’ve got a race distance that’ll fit your fancy. Choose from a speedy 1 mile, a thrilling 5K, a challenging quarter marathon, or a mighty half marathon.

Come on out and celebrate the 18th Annual USA Fit Marathon, Shottenkirk Kia – Fort Bend Half Marathon, and Simon Spine 5K. Our event is known as “Everyone’s Marathon” because we believe all athletes, no matter what their pace, should get the chance to enjoy the race experience.

Formed in 1972, the Houston Marathon Committee® (HMC) is a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization that plans a multi-race running event (marathon, half marathon and 5K). A Running USA founding member, the HMC is overseen by a board of directors, 12 staff members and approximately 7,000 race weekend volunteer positions.

Get ready to lace up your running shoes and unleash your inner adventurer at the Bigfoot Classic—the ultimate running race set against the stunning backdrop of Texas parks and woodlands! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for some outdoor fun, we have something for everyone with distances ranging from a thrilling 1 mile to a challenging 15K.

A low-key, four loop, flat, fast, tree lined course, certified Boston qualifier, with custom shirts, race hats, finisher medals, and a complimentary pizza lunch and beer after the event. All proceeds from this event are donated to Coats for Kids, Global Wheelchair Mission and Orphanos Foundation.

2025 represents our 13th year of spreading holiday cheer through running! Join us on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 as we celebrate the 8th day of Christmas with 8 maids a-milking!

Join us at 7:00am on December 14, 2025 for the 14th year of the Baylor Scott & White College Station Marathon + Half Marathon! Run throughout College Station, Bryan, and the Texas A&M campus.

The Houston Harriers are hosting the 2nd Annual Coach Andy Stewart’s 30K & 10K race in Sugar Land at the Sugar Land Town Square on Sunday, December 13th. More information to come in the months ahead!

This is the December edition of our popular Brazos Bend races with the marquee event being the 100-mile. The Brazos Bend course is the fastest trail in Texas trail running. The course is 99.9% flat, and the only hill is 10 feet. Other than that you will be running on flat surfaces that move from hard crushed rock, soft hiking trails under tree canopy, and smooth horse trails. Conditions in December can have a mix of anything but are typically great conditions for running. Brazos Bend is a spectacular State Park located just South of Houston/Sugar Land and is most known for its abundance of birds and American Alligators among other wildlife. The gators are a part of our race, there has never been an incident in the park. Enjoy them on your run, from a distance, and you may get some unique race photos!
