But fear not, for the course is dotted with well-stocked aid stations, ensuring you stay hydrated and energized as you push your limits.

Texas' Hottest trail race, the Habanero Hundred was born from a summer long-run gone wrong (ask Race Director Cal) and is now one of the largest trail races in the state, held in August every year with options for many distances and the marquee event being the 100-mile distance.

The relay option will also allow you to run with a team, friends, or family to complete this monumental task. In the first year of the event, we only had ONE finisher in the 100 Mile event, Julie Schmal! Ever since we have put our 100mi finishers' names printed on the back of the next year's shirt. Between 2015 and 2024 there have only been 162 finishes of the Habanero Hundred 100mi.

Are you up for the challenge? Maybe start with one of our shorter solo distances or join a team in the highly competitive relay events for either the 100km or 100mi distance relays.

Enjoy an early morning 10k, 5k or 1k run followed by brews at the Katy Beer Garden in Katy, Texas. All runners will receive an event shirt and medal. The 10k and 5k are a timed event, so age group awards will be given. Enjoy a beverage with your friends while listening to our DJ and stop by the photo booth to remember the morning.

We welcome walkers, dogs, and strollers.

TROT XC is back! Trail Racing Over Texas, in partnership with Hardloop Endurance, is proud to be hosting the 2026 Houston Area Road Runners' (HARRA) Cross Country, as part of the Fall series of races. New for 2026 we will be running an open 5km race and scoring the meet for clubs and teams to compete just like the high school days. The event is open to all runners (not just HARRA). Race as an individual, or gather a team, select your division, and join us for a fun cross-country meet.

BISD is excited for our 4th Annual BISD Family 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1K Fun Run benefiting the health and wellness of our BISD teachers and staff!  Please join us for our Fun Run fundraiser featuring a chip timed 5K and Kids Fun Run.

The BISD Family 5k FUN run is a timed event, however it is an event for everyone of every ability. It's your event to enjoy as you wish! So don't worry about finishing times (unless you want to) - just come along to enjoy the day!

Date/Time: Saturday September 27th. Kids run 7:30 am, 5K at conclusion of the Kids Run

Parking: Brazoswood High School Student parking lot

Start and finish at Galveston’s R.A. Apffel East Beach Park. Run entirely on sand, the Sand Crab is an adventure under the stars on a beautiful Galveston Beach at night! All races are chip timed including the Kid’s K. The Sand Crab starts on beautiful East Beach and runs west for 3.1 or 1.55 miles (depending on the event), then turns back to the finish. The course is marked with led lights. Runners are required to run with a flashlight or head lamp. The Kid’s K will start at 8 pm. Parents are welcome to run with kids free of charge. The 5K/10K will start at 8:30PM. The 5K run is very walker friendly with a 2hr cut off. The 10K is walkable but will share the 2 hr cut off. 10K runners must be at the 3.1 mile turnaround within 1 hour. There are 2 waterstops with sports drink and water hit 2X ea for the 10K and 1 hit 2X for the 5K.

The Keller Williams Premier Katy Labor Day 5K and Kids K race (formerly known as Back to School 5K) will be held on Labor Day, Monday September 7, 2026 at the Villagio Town Center in Cinco Ranch. The 5K will be a chipped timed race on a certified course with all proceeds benefiting The Ballard House and Ainsley's Angels. All registrants will receive a race shirt and a chipped bib. Registrants that sign up after August 13th are not guaranteed to receive a race shirt, or to receive a shirt in their preferred size. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate shirts and shirt sizes for all entries up to race day. Awards will be given for overall winners, masters winners and age group awards for 10-year age groups. The Kids 1K race will not be a timed event but it will be full of fun and participants will receive a prize at the end for finishing.

This is our nighttime party trail run just West of Houston at Stephen F. Austin State Park! The trails are wide and mainly gravel/dirt with a few quick elevation changes but a great trail run for beginners to advanced. 

​All runners will need both a light and hydration device as mandatory equipment. The trail will be marked with reflectors and ribbons. We are a cupless race so you must carry your own bottle/flask. Follow park instructions for parking along the right side of the park road, starting at the group dining hall event area and filling back from there. 

The group dining hall is where all the action happens; packet pickup, start/finish, spectator hang-out lawn with runners personal area, and our main aid station. A second water refill will be available at halfway at the road crossing. Extra lights and costumes are encouraged! Sunset is at 7:30 PM.
