2026 Walk for Sickle Cell Houston, is a community event dedicated to raising awareness, promoting health and wellness, and honoring individuals living with sickle cell disease. The morning will include a family-friendly walk, health education, music, vendors, and a special balloon release ceremony to pay tribute to the warriors we have lost. Proceeds from the event help support programs such as Camp Cell-A-Bration for children and Next Level for teens, ensuring sickle cell warriors receive resources, community, and empowerment. Together, we walk in hope, unity, and support for a brighter future.

The Keller Williams Premier Katy Labor Day 5K and Kids K race (formerly known as Back to School 5K) will be held on Labor Day, Monday September 7, 2026 at the Villagio Town Center in Cinco Ranch. The 5K will be a chipped timed race on a certified course with all proceeds benefiting The Ballard House and Ainsley's Angels. All registrants will receive a race shirt and a chipped bib. Registrants that sign up after August 13th are not guaranteed to receive a race shirt, or to receive a shirt in their preferred size. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate shirts and shirt sizes for all entries up to race day. Awards will be given for overall winners, masters winners and age group awards for 10-year age groups. The Kids 1K race will not be a timed event but it will be full of fun and participants will receive a prize at the end for finishing.

Start and finish at Galveston’s R.A. Apffel East Beach Park. Run entirely on sand, the Sand Crab is an adventure under the stars on a beautiful Galveston Beach at night! All races are chip timed including the Kid’s K. The Sand Crab starts on beautiful East Beach and runs west for 3.1 or 1.55 miles (depending on the event), then turns back to the finish. The course is marked with led lights. Runners are required to run with a flashlight or head lamp. The Kid’s K will start at 8 pm. Parents are welcome to run with kids free of charge. The 5K/10K will start at 8:30PM. The 5K run is very walker friendly with a 2hr cut off. The 10K is walkable but will share the 2 hr cut off. 10K runners must be at the 3.1 mile turnaround within 1 hour. There are 2 waterstops with sports drink and water hit 2X ea for the 10K and 1 hit 2X for the 5K.

The Burleson Aggie Mom’s Kolache Krunch 5K benefits Aggie students in the form of direct scholarships. Our group is committed to supporting Texas A&M students from Burleson County.  In addition, the BCAM loves supporting our community by holding the 5K during the annual Kolache Festival always held on the second Saturday in September in downtown Caldwell. We want runners from across the state to come join in the fun of a festival atmosphere and explore the great small town of Caldwell, Texas.

This is our nighttime party trail run just West of Houston at Stephen F. Austin State Park! The trails are wide and mainly gravel/dirt with a few quick elevation changes but a great trail run for beginners to advanced. 

​All runners will need both a light and hydration device as mandatory equipment. The trail will be marked with reflectors and ribbons. We are a cupless race so you must carry your own bottle/flask. Follow park instructions for parking along the right side of the park road, starting at the group dining hall event area and filling back from there. 

The group dining hall is where all the action happens; packet pickup, start/finish, spectator hang-out lawn with runners personal area, and our main aid station. A second water refill will be available at halfway at the road crossing. Extra lights and costumes are encouraged! Sunset is at 7:30 PM.

TROT XC is back! Trail Racing Over Texas, in partnership with Hardloop Endurance, is proud to be hosting the 2026 Houston Area Road Runners' (HARRA) Cross Country, as part of the Fall series of races. Galveston Island is a seafood lover’s paradise all year round, but this September, Yaga’s Entertainment will bring foodies a little taste of heaven at the Galveston Island Shrimp Festival.

Featuring some of the best shrimp gumbo the Gulf Coast has to offer, the cook-off will be held in the Historic Strand District beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
