Join us on October 17, 2026, for the 14th annual Child Advocates Superhero Run at CITYCENTRE Houston! Dust off those capes, grab your sidekicks, and be a hero for the day. The chip-timed 5K run starts at 8am, followed by the 1K run at 9am. Race awards ceremony and costume raffle will follow the 1K event. Come out and have a great time running, walking or spectating for Child Advocates!

From 1 Mile to Ultra Marathon, Kids Run and Family Activities, Relay, Run/Walk/Ruck, Texas-sized Medals, Free Race Photos, Giveaways and prizes, Age Group Awards, and more! ​The marquee event will feature a point-to-point 50k from West to East along the shoreline. Aid stations will align with the 50k Relay exchange points (roughly every 10km), along with a roving aid station support vehicle. 

​All other events will start and finish at the East Beach main event area with out-and-back shoreline courses towards Galveston and around East Beach.

Your little creatures can run the 1K – Adults and teens can run the 5K  – it won’t be scary, we promise! Trick us in family-friendly costumes and compete in the Costume Contest if you like. Ghouls and gals get some treats (and a finisher’s medal) and celebrate the changing of the seasons in frightful fashion!

We are excited to have you participate in our 5K Cooley Costume Run and Superhero Dash! This is a family event for novice runners of any age, and includes a chip timed certified 5K course for the advanced runner.  Kids aged 4-8 can also register and participate in a Superhero dash competition!  Dress up as your favorite superhero!  Your 5K registration includes a chip timed 5K certified course, music, entertainment, and an awesome CKMC T-Shirt! Each registered adult will also get one free pint of beer from Paradigm Brewing!  

Costumes are not required but definitely welcome for both the 5K and the Superhero Dash! (Note: Please make sure costumes are family/child appropriate)

As we set out on a 5K Fun Run, we also aim to raise awareness and funds for the IBC Network Foundation. The IBC was formed from the efforts of Terry Arnold, an IBC survivor, to educate everyone she could persuade to listen to her about IBC.  As naturally as walking along a path, each step led her to conclude that we could do more for IBC.  We need a very proactive foundation that will fund research and share education.

Join us for the 5th Annual Galveston Island Turkey Trot. A beautiful, flat course on the famous Galveston Island Seawall. Run or Walk with perfect views of the Gulf Coast. The distance is a 5K encouraging runners, walkers, friends & family to come together to Turkey Trot! This is an out and back course with a post-race party ending at Menard Park behind the McGuire-Dent Recreation Center. Costumes are Welcome!

This race supports HART which is a non-profit organization that supports Health & Fitness on the Island along with the surrounding area. We are the Heart of Area Running Teams supporting Run clubs, other Non-Profits, Volunteer programs, & giving support to the community. We Provide free run and walk events, wellness clinics, fitness scholarships and discounts to students.

Hermann Park Conservancy’s Run in the Park, powered by Reliant,is back for its 23rd year!

Runners can choose to attend the in-person race, or run from the comfort of your own home virtually! Taking place on November 14, 2026 participants will be able to run – or walk – to support the efforts of the Conservancy. All proceeds from Run in the Park go towards the crucial work needed to maintain Hermann Park, which is an essential outdoor space for our community.

With 5K and 10K routes, as well as a 1K kids’ route, for the in-person events, exercise enthusiasts of all ages and abilities can come explore the Park and enjoy the shaded trails enjoyed by millions of visitors per year. The event starts and ends at the Molly Ann Smith Plaza, near the Jones Reflection Pool, and includes a post-run party with food, drinks, music, and more!

This is a fast, fun course perfect for runners, walkers, and strollers. It is a chance to come out on a cool November morning and enjoy the spirit of gratitude while knowing the race entries you have purchased will change the lives of disadvantaged women all over Houston.

The Harvest Marathon Relay is a community relay race built around a simple idea: that collective effort produces something no individual on any team can. 10 runners sharing 26.2 miles with a clear goal. One finish line with every mile tied to the Houston Food Bank.

The Harvest Marathon Relay held its first event in 2017. In 2019, the format changed to have competitive and non-competitive or collaborative teams. That year, Shell Chemical’s team posted the fastest time at 2 hours 17 minutes, 41 seconds. Two years later, the team from INEOS completed the race in the exact same record finishing time. In 2022, the team from Sharpstown High School broke the record, which still stands today, at 2 hours, 14 minutes and 55 seconds.

Austin State Park in San Felipe allowing a large grass area for personal aid setup around our group dining hall screen shelter as well as reserved campsites and full hookup RV sites.
