Every Memoridal Day we meet at the Town Center Park in Kingwood to honor those who gave it all for our freedoms by completing/competing in one of two Hero Races: MURPH / LOREDO, or a Half-Marathon / 5K/10k … 10 and Under fun: Kids Mini-Salute (short mini hero race).

Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed mission commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin, both American, on the lunar module Eagle on July 20, 1969, at 20:17 UTC. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface six hours after landing on July 21 at 02:56:15 UTC; Aldrin joined him about 20 minutes later. Michael Collins piloted the command module Columbia alone in lunar orbit while they were on the Moon’s surface. [1]

About This Event: the Lunar Landing 5K is a great way to celebrate one of mankind’s greatest accomplishments.

This event promises to be an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to see you there!

This Cinco de Mayo, challenge yourself and celebrate resilience, community, and culture with the Cinco de Mayo Run Against All Odds! Whether you’re running for fun or for fitness, this event is all about pushing limits and embracing the spirit of overcoming obstacles—just like the holiday itself! There’s no equipment or setup, this is a pure run with our coordinators to support you in a warm, stress-free setting!

The 2nd Annual Operation Ruck the Bayou will be hosted on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at Saint Arnold Brewery in Houston, TX. This event will support The Joshua Chamberlain Society’s Houston Chapter.

Help us kick off National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by joining us for the Chance for Hope Going Gold Fun Run, an officially-timed 5K and 10K race open to participants of all ages! From competitive runners to leisurely walkers, the Fun Run offers something for everyone. The IRONKIDS Fun Run offers young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition, while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living. Each athlete receives a “Goodie Bag” with a race bib, shirt and a finisher medal.

Mark your calendar and register for Pasadena Police Departments Superhero 5k and Kids 1k May 29, 2027. Show up as you are or dress to impress in your superhero costume.

All participants will receive a Firecracker Trek water bottle as their finisher medal.
