Start and finish at Galveston’s R.A. Apffel East Beach Park. Run entirely on sand, the Sand Crab is an adventure under the stars on a beautiful Galveston Beach at night! All races are chip timed including the Kid’s K. The Sand Crab starts on beautiful East Beach and runs west for 3.1 or 1.55 miles (depending on the event), then turns back to the finish. The course is marked with led lights. Runners are required to run with a flashlight or head lamp. The Kid’s K will start at 8 pm. Parents are welcome to run with kids free of charge. The 5K/10K will start at 8:30PM. The 5K run is very walker friendly with a 2hr cut off. The 10K is walkable but will share the 2 hr cut off. 10K runners must be at the 3.1 mile turnaround within 1 hour. There are 2 waterstops with sports drink and water hit 2X ea for the 10K and 1 hit 2X for the 5K.

BISD is excited for our 4th Annual BISD Family 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1K Fun Run benefiting the health and wellness of our BISD teachers and staff!  Please join us for our Fun Run fundraiser featuring a chip timed 5K and Kids Fun Run.

The BISD Family 5k FUN run is a timed event, however it is an event for everyone of every ability. It’s your event to enjoy as you wish! So don’t worry about finishing times (unless you want to) – just come along to enjoy the day!

Date/Time: Saturday September 27th. Kids run 7:30 am, 5K at conclusion of the Kids Run

Parking: Brazoswood High School Student parking lot

All runners will receive the official 2025 participant race shirt and finishers medal. *Must register by Monday, September 9th to guarantee your shirt.

1 Mile registration is untimed and includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and a custom finisher medal! The kid’s dash is a fun, untimed dash for our kiddos ages 10 and under. Registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specifically crafted medal for our kids’ dash event! (If your child wants to run the kid’s dash, and doesn’t want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)

The Keller Williams Premier Katy Labor Day 5K and Kids K race (formerly known as Back to School 5K) will be held on Labor Day, Monday September 7, 2026 at the Villagio Town Center in Cinco Ranch. The 5K will be a chipped timed race on a certified course with all proceeds benefiting The Ballard House and Ainsley’s Angels. All registrants will receive a race shirt and a chipped bib. Registrants that sign up after August 13th are not guaranteed to receive a race shirt, or to receive a shirt in their preferred size. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate shirts and shirt sizes for all entries up to race day. Awards will be given for overall winners, masters winners and age group awards for 10-year age groups. The Kids 1K race will not be a timed event but it will be full of fun and participants will receive a prize at the end for finishing.

Join us for a timed 5K Run along Buffalo Bayou, a 53-mile, 18,000-year-old slow-moving waterway, and the historic birthplace of Houston! Whether you’re running, jogging, or walking, this event welcomes all fitness levels. Come enjoy the fresh air, cheer each other on, and cross the finish line feeling proud—and maybe a little sweaty.

Join us on Saturday, July 11, 2026 for the 7th annual Popsicle Dash. This sweet race is the 2nd in a three-race series, all designed to keep you fit and refreshed this summer.

​The Summer Dash Series includes the Lemonade Dash, Popsicle Dash, and Watermelon Dash. All are great family events!

Help us kick off National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by joining us for the Chance for Hope Going Gold Fun Run, an officially-timed 5K and 10K race open to participants of all ages! From competitive runners to leisurely walkers, the Fun Run offers something for everyone. In addition to the race itself, an event village features music, race prizes and fun activities for the kids.

This family-friendly event brings our community together to improve and save lives from prostate cancer. Throughout the day, we celebrate survivors, support patients and caregivers, and remember those we’ve lost while keeping the energy high with activities for all ages, including kid-friendly stations.
