Wildflower takes place over two days with a range of standard and unique race distances. This is a beautiful single-track trail system in the Texas Hill Country. The trail will take you through sections of pine, sand, rock, rolling climbs, and fun descents. The scenery allows you to see the fire-struck forest from 2011 as well as the rebirth of the Lost Pines in the area.

Review of Wildflower Trail Run

This race is so much fun and a great option for anyone who wants to try out a trail race. There are so many different options for distances, and it’s not too far from Houston. It’s a great time!

The IRONKIDS Fun Run offers young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition, while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living. Each athlete receives a “Goodie Bag” with a race bib, shirt and a finisher medal.

This is the 57th running of the oldest race in Texas. You can boast on Sunday morning that you ran on the same track as Olympic Medalists Clayton Murphy and Matt Centrowitz and that you finished at the same time as Houston’s premier runners. Run as many RPMs (laps) as you please in 33:20. Pre-LP lbs. weigh-in for Clydesdales and Rubens. The racecourse is around a beautiful 400 meter bouncy synthetic track – no asphalt or concrete or potholes! Run at Rice University. By arriving early or staying late, the rare opportunity exists to actually watch some of Houston’s best runners.

This course runs along the water at surfside beach on the hard packed sand.

The Brazos Bend course is the fastest trail in Texas trail running. The course is 99.9% flat, and the only hill is 10 feet. Other than that you will be running on flat surfaces that move from hard crushed rock, soft hiking trails under tree canopy, and easy horse trails. Conditions in the Spring are typically warm and humid but can still start with some cooler mornings. Brazos Bend is a spectacular State Park located just South of Houston/Sugar Land and is most known for its abundance of birds and American Alligators among other wildlife. The gators are a part of our race, there has never been an incident in the park. Enjoy them on your run, from a distance, and you may get some unique race photos!

We’ve seen the impact a childhood cancer diagnosis has on the entire family and we’re deeply committed to ensuring children affected by a cancer diagnosis have the opportunity to pursue their college dreams with scholarships, regardless of financial challenges. We are painstakingly aware that childhood cancer research continues to be under funded so we continue our mission to help fund Research and Awareness. Our actions brings our WHY to life.

Join us at 7:00am on December 14, 2025 for the 14th year of the Baylor Scott & White College Station Marathon + Half Marathon! Run throughout College Station, Bryan, and the Texas A&M campus.

The Houston Harriers are hosting the 2nd Annual Coach Andy Stewart’s 30K & 10K race in Sugar Land at the Sugar Land Town Square on Sunday, December 13th. More information to come in the months ahead!
