Celebrate Veterans Day with our Freedom Run! Kick off the weekend with a fun 5K, 10K, or Half-Marathon with friends and family in deep gratitude for the Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

You can raise funds for a charity of choice (Optional). 100% of the net funds raised will go towards your cause of choice. 

The La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon starts from Sylvan Beach Park by the water, proceeding through La Porte streets and on to the Fred Hartman Bridge, one of the most beautiful and unique structures in Texas. The race finishes at Five Points Plaza where the post-race party awaits with amazing food and cold beer, awards and good times with family, fellow runners and friends. All finishers will receive a medal.

A local Thanksgiving morning tradition, YMCA Run Thru the Woods has supported local non-profits with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities for 35 years. The event brings thousands of community members together for entertainment and run/walks designed for all ages. Over the years, more than $3.5 million dollars has been raised. 

Kick off your Thanksgiving celebration with a healthy and fun-filled event at the Houston Turkey Dash in Houston, Texas! Don’t want to get up early on Thanksgiving Day? The Great Houston Pie Run is for you! Join us on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, enjoy a beer, your own mini-pie, a fast race, and best of all – no guilt for sleeping in on Thanksgiving Day!​
