The girls’ race saw several standout performances from the Houston area, led by Laney Barnes of Cy Woods, who earned an incredible runner-up finish, taking second overall against the best in the state. Right behind her, the Bridgeland girls delivered a dominant team effort to capture first place overall. Junior Rowan Saacke placed fifth, followed closely by Hope Smith in sixth and Susana Rawls in ninth, three Bears inside the top 10 that sealed the team title. Katy also impressed, placing third overall, led by Vienna Fish in 14th. Other strong finishes included Sophie Peterson of Memorial, who took 10th.

On the boys’ side, Bridgeland continued its dominance with another top-three team finish, placing third overall in a highly competitive field. Senior Griffen Saacke led the team with a strong third-place individual finish, followed by Layton Carlisle in 16th. Ryder Darcey of Katy also had a standout race, finishing eighth, while Camden Gibson of College Park rounded out the Houston-area top 20 in 19th.

With both the boys’ and girls’ teams landing on the podium, Bridgeland proved it’s one of the most well-rounded cross country programs in Texas.
