Global Running Day is bringing Houston’s running community together, and runners across the city will have no shortage of opportunities to celebrate. Below you will find some highlighted events happening all over the city.
Fleet Feet Houston’s annual “The Big Run” series will serve as one of the largest celebrations in the region. Events begin June 1 at Fleet Feet River Oaks, followed by Fleet Feet Katy on June 2. June 3 will be especially busy with gatherings at Fleet Feet Sugar Land, Fleet Feet Vintage Park, Fleet Feet Woodway, and Fleet Feet Greenbriar. Fleet Feet The Woodlands will wrap up the series on June 4. Participating clubs throughout the week include Champions Running, Houston Colosseum, Runners, Sexy Pace Run Club, Houston Striders, It’s Not That Serious Run Club, and Lover Girl Run Club.
Axelrad will also host a major Global Running Day celebration featuring HARRA, Axelrad Run Club, BARC, Homey Run Club, HMSA, Houston Striders, Latinas Run, Push P, Houston Harriers, Front Runners, Black Girls Run!, We Run H-Town, and Texas Finisherz.
Other celebrations are spread throughout the Houston area. Good Guys Run Club will gather at Patterson Park, while Timeless Runners, Houston Area Roadrunners Freaks, Space City Elite, and Strider Department will meet at Memorial Trail Ice House. Wild Pear Running and Pearland Area Road Runners will host runners in Pearland, while Running on Coffee and Chaos plans a gathering at Hermann Park.

The Clear Lake area will feature events from Gators, BARC, Life Time Baybrook, and Clear Creek Run Co. at Clear Creek Run Co., while Pasadena Runners Club will gather at Holly Bay Park.
Pearland runners can also celebrate with Vibes Over Speed, Hustletown Run Club, and Run Amor.
All of these events will have a community run, giveaways, raffles, demos, and more! Check out each individual club social media sites to learn more.
Of course, this list is only scratching the surface. Houston’s running community is one of the largest and most active in the country, and many clubs may be planning additional Global Running Day runs and meetups that weren’t publicly available at the time of publication. No matter where you live in the Houston area, chances are there’s a run happening nearby to help you celebrate the sport that brings us all together.
