The inaugural Whataburger race is already making waves in Houston. After selling out its first day in just 24 hours, organizers announced the addition of a second day, giving more runners the chance to join in the celebration. The event will now take place November 8–9, marking Whataburger’s 75th anniversary in style.
Runners can choose from a 5K, 10K, or Kids Dash, with each distance designed to bring together athletes of all ages and abilities. Themed race swag, orange-and-white branding, and plenty of Whataburger flair promise to make the weekend more than just another race.
Houston’s running community is no stranger to creative events, and the immediate sellout highlighted just how much buzz the series has generated. By opening a second day, organizers are ensuring that even more participants can be part of the anniversary milestone.
Registration for Sunday is now live, but spots are expected to go quickly. Interested runners can sign up here.
